The NuTekk People
40 Years of Business, Sales and Technology Experience
Paul W. Speary, Dip Bus Marketing
Managing Director
Paul’s background is diverse. Born in New Jersey, USA, Paul
has traveled and lived all over the world including London, Los
Angeles, Caracas, New Delhi, New York and Auckland. He is tri-lingual
and speaks fluent Spanish, Russian and English.
Paul started work in 1983 as a management cadet with New Zealand
Insurance, and moved up to insurance broking with Jardine Insurance
Brokers. This gave him an overall grounding of how business worked
and exposed him to a variety of industries. Following the 1987
stock market crash, Paul joined Coca Cola Bottlers where he found
his calling in marketing and sales. At Coca Cola he managed and
built the Special Events department and created the New Zealand
sponsorship and promotions division. From here Paul worked in a
variety of other industries including FMCG, travel, freight, entertainment/special
events, film and IT&T. In these roles Paul used his marketing,
sales and business management skills to grow the companies he worked
for, and always delivered in excess of expectations.
Paul’s most recent position was as CEO for a leading Auckland-based
ISP. The role made him the youngest CEO of a publicly-listed company
in the New Zealand market.
As founding director, Paul’s role is to generate and build
the business and develop NuTekk’s working models.
